Middletown North Girls' Track Wins Third State Title
Middletown North's Rett Schnoor is a standout, winning the state title in both the 100-meter dash and the long jump.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — The Middletown High School North girls' track and field team won its third sectional state title this June.
Middletown North Rett Schnoor is a high school standout, having tied a program-record with 38 individual points after winning both the 100 and 200-meter dash events.
The school district said Schnoor is the "anchor" of Middletown's 4x100 relay team, which also captured gold. Schnoor also finished second in long jump.

Middletown North girls competed this past Friday and Saturday at the NJSIAA Group 3 Championships at Pennsauken High School.
There, Schnoor took the state title in both the 100-meter dash and the long jump. That means she is the best in the state of New Jersey in those events, according to NJ.com. Schnoor ran the 100-meter dash in 12.59 seconds,.

Schnoor will continue to run track at Monmouth University in the fall.
From North, student Patricia Walsh also won the individual javelin championship. That helped Middletown secure a slim 78-77 advantage in the final team standings.
In boys' track & field, High School South senior Aaron Stillitano won two sprint titles at the Shore Conference Championship Meet, the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash.
Stillitano will run track & field at the University of Pennsylvania this fall.
