Middletown police recently charged defendants with lewdness, shoplifting, stalking and simple assault.
According to a news release from Deputy Chief Stephen Dollinger:
Michelle Zahner, age 34, from Snyder Lane in Keyport, was arrested on Oct. 4 by Patrolman Kent Thornton on a charge of Shoplifting. She was released pending a court date.

Brian Hilliard, age 34, from Gettysburg Lane in Holmdel, was arrested on Oct. 2 by Detective Anthony Dellatacoma on a charge of Shoplifting. He was released pending a court date.
Patrick Carroll, age 19, from Bucknell Drive in Hazlet, was arrested on Oct. 3 by Patrolman Raymond Sofield on a charge of Lewdness. He was released pending a court date.

Robert Huston, age 33, from Thomas Avenue in Shrewsbury, was arrested on Oct. 3 by Patrolman Jesse Toma on a charge of Disorderly Conduct. He was released pending a court date.
Scott Horst, age 36, from Ralph Street in Belleville, was arrested on Oct. 7 by Patrolman Kent Thornton on charges of Harassment, Violation of a Court Order, Stalking, and Theft. He was held on $57,000 bail set by Judge Justus of the Monmouth County Superior Court.
Joseph Hudson, age 46, from Hamilton Avenue in Leonardo, was arrested on Oct. 8 by Patrolman Stephen Greenwood on a charge of Simple Assault. He was released after posting $1,000 bail with a 10 percent option set by Judge Richard Thompson.
Kenneth Persico, age 48, from Forest Avenue in Keansburg, was arrested on Oct. 11 by Patrolman Nicholas Fenezia on a charge of Disorderly Conduct. He was released pending a court date.
Macarena Maldonado‐Lopez, age 26, from Thousand Oaks Drive in Atlantic Highlands, was arrested on Oct. 10 by Police Officer Larisa Doriety on a charge of Disorderly Conduct. She was released pending a court date.
George Mercado, age 39, from Brighton Avenue in Staten Island, was arrested on Oct. 12 by Patrolman Richard Belmonte on charges of Obstructing the Administration of Law and Resisting Arrest. He was held on $5,000 bail set by Judge Richard Thompson.
