Middletown Woman, 95, Dies At Hospital After 2-Car Crash

A 95-year-old woman died at the hospital after she was involved in a two-car collision on Newman Springs Road last week:

MIDDLETOWN, NJ ? A 95-year-old woman died at the hospital after she was involved in a two-car collision in Middletown last week, according to Middletown Police.

The crash happened at 8:30 a.m. last Monday, Dec. 30: Police responded to the area of Newman Springs Road and Spring Garden Road for a two-vehicle crash. One of drivers, Elizabeth T. Hannaway, 95, of Lincroft, said she had a complaint of pain, and she was taken to Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank.

Police later learned that while being treated in the hospital, Hannaway died. Middletown Police are now investigating if the crash and any injuries sustained during the crash contributed to her death.
