Monmouth County Greentable To Discuss Wetlands at June 17 Meeting

A Monmouth County Greentable meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 17 at the Manasquan Reservoir Environmental Center at 331 Georgia Tavern Road.

Monmouth County residents are invited to attend and hear about the potential role of wetland and conservation banks for wetland restoration and ecosystem resilience, salt marsh restoration along Ware Creek and Fisherman's Cove Coastal Dune and Maritime Forest Restoration.

After the meeting, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an optional boat tour or guided trail walk of the Manasquan Reservoir. 

Participating in the discussion will be representatives from the Ecologic Resources Group, Naval Weapons Station Earle and the Monmouth County Park System.

The Monmouth County Greentable is a periodic meeting of individuals, groups and government representatives who work together to preserve open spaces and farmlands. The group presents information about past, present and future local preservation projects as a way to share experiences, expectations and ideas.
