Obituary: Arline T. Wheeler, 79, of Middletown: "Rock" of Her Family; Grandmother and Great-Grandmother

Arline T. Wheeler was born in Brooklyn, but moved to Middletown in 1965 with her husband Gerald Wheeler.

Arline T Wheeler, 79, of Middletown, died peacefully at her home with her family by her side on October 9, 2014. She was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1935 and moved to Deposit, NY as a young girl. She and Gerald Wheeler married in 1952 in Deposit and moved their family of five children to Middletown, NJ in 1965.

Arline was an incredibly warm and loving wife, mother, grandmother and the rock of her family. Listening to her family play and sing music always warmed her heart. Her greatest joys were cooking, baking, gardening, and simply spending time with her family and friends. Her bright smile and sparkling eyes will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her son & daughter-in-law, Gary and Terri Wheeler of Livingston, MT; daughter Lynda Kavanagh and partner Chris Danish of Middletown; sister-in-law, Joyce Frazier; grandchildren, Todd, Dana, Adam, Casey, Amber, Gary, Michelle, John, Kyle, Jamie and Justin; great-grandchildren, Christian, Mackenzie, Andrew, Autumn, Makayla, Nathan, Evelyn Mae, Julie and one on the way.

Arline was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald D Wheeler in 2013; son, Timothy F Wheeler in 1998; son, Wayne E Wheeler in 2001 and son, William J Wheeler in 2007.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2014, from 6-9 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 9:15 am at St. Mary’s Chapel, 26 Leonardville Rd., Middletown. Burial will follow at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
