Steven M. Wilhalme, 53, of Keansburg, NJ, died on April 2, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Red Bank and lived in Keansburg all of his life. Steven worked for General Motors in Linden for 30 years before retiring in 2009. He was a communicant of St. Ann's RC Church in Keansburg. Steven was a graduate of Mater Dei High School, class of 1979. He was an avid fisherman and golfer and he loved to go to Monmouth Park Race Track.
Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Arleen Gerba Wilhalme; sister, Irene Vande Woude of Belford; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Rhonda Wilhalme of Port Monmouth, Kenneth and Marion Wilhalme of Oceanport; and Kevin and Diana Wilhalme of Cream Ridge; three nephews, John Vande Woude, Kenny Vande Woude Jr., and Kevin Wilhalme; and one niece, Kaitlyn Wilhalme.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Irene Wilhalme.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014 from 6 to 9 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 5 at 9 am at the funeral home. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 10:30 am at St. Agnes' RC Church, 103 Center Av., Atlantic Highlands.
