Serious Crash Shuts Down Rt. 35 North In Middletown

A driver was seriously injured in a three-car crash Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of State Route 35 and Crestview Drive.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — A driver was seriously injured in a three-car crash Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of State Route 35 and Crestview Drive in Middletown, said police.

The crash occurred at approximately 2:16 p.m. and one of the drivers was injured badly enough that they had to be transported by medical helicopter to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.

Traffic on Rt. 35 has been shut down at the intersection of 35 and Chapel Hill Road as police are still on the scene investigating.
