Storm Aftermath: Middletown/Holmdel Roads Still Closed
Breaking: In the aftermath of the storm, many Middletown and Holmdel roads remain closed Tuesday morning, police announced. They are:

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — In the aftermath of the thunderstorm, many Middletown, Holmdel and Marlboro roads remain closed still Tuesday morning, police announced.
JCP&L is reporting widespread power outages of still 100,000 homes in Monmouth County Tuesday morning; that is a reduction from last night.
In Middletown: As of July 23, road closures and traffic issues due to the storm:

-Hwy 35 traffic lights from Apple Farm South into Red Bank are out.
-Church St. is closed between Kings Hwy and Liberty St.
-Traffic lights are out at Normandy/West Front and Normandy/ Oak Hill Rd.
-Kings Hwy East is closed between Stillwell and Chapel Hill Rd.
-Traffic lights are not operating at Half Mile Rd / West Front, Hubbard/ Navesink River Rd., Middletown-Lincroft / West Front St.
In Holmdel, Holmdel Road, between Schank Rd and Roberts Rd is now open to traffic. However, as of 7 a.m. Tuesday, there are power lines down in the following areas in Holmdel:

-Everett Rd in the area of 185 and 195 Everett Rd.
-Centerville Rd and Apple Grove Dr
-Heyward Hills near #24 Heyward Hills
Trees are down on wires in the following locations causing road closures(detours in place):
-Holmdel Rd closed between Schank and Roberts Rd.
-Holmdel Rd closed between Crawfords Corner Rd to Hillcrest.
Marlboro Twp. was also badly hit. As of 10 a.m. Tuesday morning, the following roads are closed and traffic lights out in Marlboro Twp.:
Roads closed in Malboro Twp.: School Road East by Bella Vista CC, Route 520 by Crine Road, Tennent Road at Wooleytown and Greenwood, Conover Road by the Methodist Church, and Nolan Road between Dover and Yorkshire.
Traffic lights out in Marlboro Twp: Lights are out with stop signs in place at Route 520 and Tennent, Union Hill Road and Tennent, Ryan and Robertsville, 520 and Gordons Corner and 520 and Wyncrest.
Marlboro Town Hall is fully open and is operating as a charging and cooling station. Phone service is inconsistent, but all internet operations are functioning. A list of township email addresses can be found HERE.
JCP&L is notified of all the power lines down. If you are trying to get an update on when your power will be back on please contact JCP&L. It is important that you report your outage to JCP&L as it allows them to isolate outages and repair more quickly. Call them at 888-544-4877 or on-line. Assume all downed wires are live and dangerous and report to the police immediately.
