According to a new list from the NJ Dept of Treasury, the most expensive town in Monmouth County is ....

Middletown, NJ - The real estate market ebbs and flows, especially in New Jersey, but 2015 saw an uptick in home sales and prices.

The New Jersey Division of Taxation, under the state Department of Treasury, released data on the average sale price – not listing price or assessed price – for all homes sold in the state in 2015. The average sale price in Middletown Township was $414,251. Holmdel Township was higher, at $677,290. Hazlet Township was lower, at $313,127.

See the complete list of towns in New Jersey here, organized by county. Spring Lake was ranked the most expensive town in Monmouth County, according to that list, with the average home selling for $1.8 million last year.
