Short Hills Is Top NJ Area On Bloomberg 'Richest Places' List
The evaluations considered Census-designated places with 2,000 or more residents. Six New Jersey towns were in the top 50 nationwide.

MILLBURN, NJ — A report last week from Bloomberg listed the richest towns and localities across America, and the Short Hills section of Millburn ranked near the top, coming in at number six.
Bloomberg considered Census-designated neighborhoods as well as towns, which is why Short Hills qualified. The list said that the community has an average household income of $388,760.
The report "evaluated U.S. locations with a minimum of 2,000 households (as defined by the Census)," said the story. "Almost 6,300 communities met the criteria, which includes approximately 75 percent of total households in the U.S."

Sixteen New Jersey towns were in the top 100, and five of those were in the top 50.
