2 Montville Pedestrians Hit By Intoxicated Driver In Denville: PD

The two pedestrians were taken to a nearby hospital, police said.

DENVILLE, NJ — Two pedestrians were struck by an intoxicated driver in Denville on Saturday, Denville police said.

The two pedestrians, an adult man and woman, were walking on Diamond Spring Road when they were stuck, police said. Police gave first aid at the scene, and they were taken to Morristown Memorial Hospital by the Denville First Aid Squad.

The driver, identified as Alejandro Sandoval-Rosales, 48, from Budd Lake, was arrested and charged with assault by auto, driving while intoxicated, reckless and careless driving. He was released to a family member pending a superior court date.

The pedestrians, both from Montville, sustained only minor injuries, the Daily Record reported.
