MONTVILLE, NJ — A bomb threat reported at a local Wendy's turned out to be a false alarm, Montville Township police said.

Police were called to the Route 46 Wendy's Monday afternoon after a threat was reported. Local police secured the scene, and the the Morris County Bomb Squad and the sheriff's office bomb sniffing dogs searched the area.

The area was declared safe, and the investigation was handed over to the Montville detective buero for investigation.
