Comedy, Murder and Chocolate at Montville High! Tonight thru Nov4

DEATH BY CHOCOLATE is the fall play produced by the Montville Township High School Drama Club. The classic murder mystery spins a tale worthy of Agatha Christie, “Clue” and a delightfully rich box of chocolates.

The twelve character work involves amateur sleuthing, mystery writing, mistaken identities and outlandish characters. Scathing satire and wacky adventures are the hallmark of the tongue in cheek mystery coming to the MTHS stage for three performances only from November 2 through November 4. DEATH BY CHOCOLATE is a family fun outing, peppered with plenty of surprises and laughs.

DEATH BY CHOCOLATE will be performed on Thursday, November 2, Friday, November 3 and Saturday, November 4 in the MTHS Dr. Robert O. Stafford auditorium. The curtain will rise at 7:30 PM each night of the run. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for senior citizens and students.

Written by playwright Paul Freed, DEATH BY CHOCOLATE is billed by Samuel French as, “Delightfully sarcastic and cynical.”

Set in the newly renovated Meadowbrook Health Resort – where members are dropping like flies -- the cast of characters includes: Lady Riverdale, Ralph Deadwood, Dick Simmering, and “Sweet Pea” Meadowbrook.

Directed by MTHS Drama Club advisor Scott Baird, the production team includes: Student Director: Brooke Nagel, Stage Manager: Brendan Silverberg, Set Designer/Construction: Paul Meacham, Costume Designer: Susan Kenny, Properties Designer: Karen Holeczko and Art Designer: Eileen Racioppi.

The cast includes students: Carly Benson, Lexi Burns, Brandon Cornejo, Jeffrey Gallup, Skyler Herman, Nina Lewin, Jaclyn Montano, Sam Shalongo, Griffin Smolar, Declan Sullivan and Veronica Tullo.
