Harold T. Cooney Jr., 67: Was A Lifelong Member Of Montville Fire Department

Harold T. Cooney Jr., a life member of the Montville Township Volunteer Fire Department, died Wednesday at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville.

He was 67.

He was born and raised in Weehawken before moving to Montville in 1958.

He owned Harold Cooney Construction of Montville.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth A. "Betty" Cooney, sons, Michael and his wife Debbie, and Frank, both of Montville, brother, Robert, sisters, Anne Weil and her husband Bruce of Parsippany and Elaine De Yong and her husband David of Mt. Bethel, Pa., Arlene Miller and her husband Ronald, of Lake Ariel, Pa., and Joan Sweeney and her husband Harry, of Dumont; and grandsons, Michael, Daniel, and Kyle.
