Hikers Stung By Bees, EMS Called: Morris County Park Police Blotter

EMS responded to Pyramid Mountain after two hikers were stung by bees.

MONTVILLE, NJ — Two hikers were stung by bees while hiking on Pyramid Mountain, requiring EMS attention. The hikers were stung on June 25, and sustained multiple bee stings, Morris County Park Police said.

6/23: ARREST FOR WARRANT: Officers were dispatched to the Dover Police Department on a report of an individual turning himself in, relating to a warrant issued for his failure to appear in court for a summons issued by the Morris County Park Police Department. Brian S. Rosas, age 19, of Dover, was able to post the required bail and released with a new court date pending.

-6/24: MEDICAL EMERGENCY: Officers were dispatched to the Sunset Valley Golf Course in Pequannock on a report of a 53-year-old male possibly suffering a heart attack. E.M.S. and Paramedics also responded and transported the patient to the hospital for further observation and/or treatment.

-6/26: MEDICAL EMERGENCY: Officers were dispatched to Hedden County Park in Randolph on a report of a 58-year-old male suffering a stroke. E.M.S. also responded and transported the patient to the hospital for further observation and/or treatment.

-6/29: MEDICAL EMERGENCY: Officers were dispatched to Sunset Valley Golf Course in Pequannock on a report of a 66-year-old male feeling faint, dizzy, and nauseous. E.M.S. and Paramedics also responded and transported the patient to the hospital for further observation and/or treatment.

-6/30: ARREST FOR NARCOTICS: Officers observed five suspicious persons on Patriots' Path, Speedwell Lake area, in Morristown. An investigation led to a juvenile to be charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The juvenile was released to a parent with a court date pending.
