Crazy Socks and PJs—Hilldale Celebrates Red Ribbon Week

This is drug-free week and students get to wear different themes each day.

Red Ribbon Week is the oldest and largest drug prevention campaign in the country and for Hilldale, it's this week. The week is full of activities centered around being drug-free.

On Monday, students wore 'Red' to show their "support for living a drug-free life," said Britany Bucci, School Counselor. Here's a run down of the rest of the week:
  • Tuesday “Sock it to drugs.” Wear your craziest socks.
  • Wednesday “I’m too smart to start!”  Wear your favorite college or Hilldale shirt.
  • Thursday “Don’t let drugs ruin your dreams.” Wear your pajamas.
  • Friday “Team up against drugs.” Wear your favorite team jersey or colors.

Parents can show support and "promote a drug-free life," said Bucci, thanking parents for their cooperation this week.

Parents, do you have a photo of your student wearing something for Red Ribbon Week? Share it with Patch and send it to kim@patch.com or text it to 845 891 6816.
