ICE Could Deport Husband of 'Real Housewives' Star: Reports

The jailed husband of "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice could be deported by ICE, according to reports.

Giuseppe "Joe" Giudice, the jailed husband of "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice, could be deported by ICE, according to reports.

Giudice, who's serving a 41-month-plus sentence in federal prison on bankruptcy fraud charges, is in deportation proceedings that could send him to his native Italy, an ICE spokesman confirmed to News4 New York.

Giudice, 46, who isn't scheduled for release until March 2019, could be deported before he leaves prison and could be transferred into the care of ICE, according to Radar Online. He first reported to Fort Dix's federal prison in New Jersey, but was recently transferred to Allenwood prison in Pennsylvania, RadarOnline reports.

The couple pleaded guilty in 2014 to bankruptcy fraud, and Joe Giudice pleaded guilty to not paying $200,000 in taxes.. Teresa also plead guilty, and served slightly less than a year of her sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Conn. She spent the remaining two months of her sentence under house arrest.

Giudice came to the U.S. as an infant and never became a citizen, according to NBC4 As a legal permanent resident, he had always faced possible deportation to Italy after he completes his sentence.
