Impromptu Fundraiser Helps Montville Nurse Restock Supply Cabinets
Woodmont Elementary School faculty, students and their families raised over $260 in less than a week.

MONTVILLE, N.J.– Woodmont Elementary School faculty, students and their families raised over $260 in less than a week to help restock nurse Janice Shingledecker’s supply cabinets.
The impromptu fundraiser was called "Woodmont is Thankful," according to District Communications Officer Sue Marinello.
"The purpose was to help to fill the cabinets with supplies while bringing families and the community closer in the spirit of Thanksgiving," she said.

Students, faculty and families also decorated paper turkey feathers.
They donated a dollar for each submitted feather, according to Marinello.

Woodmont, located in Pine Brook, was named a 2016 National School of Character by character.org.
