Major Road Work Coming To Montville This Weekend

MONTVILLE, NJ — Major road work is coming to Montville this weekend, as the instillation of a new gas line wraps up.

The intersection of Change Bridge and Passaic Valley Road will be closed this Saturday, Sept.16, beginning at 8 a.m. The intersection will be totally closed to all vehicular traffic.

Closing the road is necessary to finish the gas line instillation, police said. The work is being done on the weekend to avoid disruption to school and work commutes.

Drivers can use the Church Lane or Millers Lane detours. Truck traffic can take River Road to get south, or to Route 46.

"We understand this closure will be an inconvenience to many during this time, but is necessary to complete the project. Please plan travel around this area," police said.
