ICYMI: Montville 4th Of July Fireworks Celebration Coming Up This Weekend

Take note: the celebration comes before Independence Day this year.

MONTVILLE, NJ — In addition to celebrating the nation's birthday, Montville's weekend-long 4th of July Celebration will also highlight the townships 150th birthday this year.

The party kicks off Thursday, June 22 and runs through Saturday, June 24. Thursday, Friday and Saturday are festival days at Montville Township High School with 21 rides. Unlimited ride wristbands will be cold for $25 in advance. Fireworks by the bay are Saturday night at 9:30 p.m.

Saturday is parade day, beginning at 1 p.m. on Gathering Road; a hot dog and pie eating contest will be held afterwards.
