Montville Firefighters, Police Knock Down House Blaze

It was accidental and no one was injured.

Firefighters and police worked hand in hand to put out a house fire on Asa Street at the end of last month.

Montville Police went to a fire at 28 Asa St. at 9:15 p.m. on Nov. 30 and when they arrived, an officer found that the back corner of the home was on fire, said Lt. Andrew Caggiano.

The officers made sure no one was inside and then "Ptl. Kenny and Sgt. Vuolo used their fire extinguishers to knock down some of the fire until the Montville Township Fire department arrived to extinguish the flames," said Caggiano.
