Montville Health Department Offers Free Skin Cancer Screening Aug. 19
Dr. Franz Omar Smith will conduct the screenings at the Montville Health Department.

Residents from Montville, Boonton Township, and surrounding towns can get a free skin cancer screening at the Montville Health Department on Aug. 19.
According to skincancer.org, skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States. 1 in 5 Americans will have skin cancer in their lifetime.
Dr. Franz Omar Smith, MD, Director of the Melanoma Center at Saint Barnabus Medical Center, will perform screenings from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Skin cancer screenings are relatively quick physical examinations of someone's body. No blood is taken in a screening.
Pre-registration is required and residents must schedule an appointment in advance.
