The Montville Recreation Department will be sponsoring BABYSITTING TRAINING CLASSES for Grades 6th 12th.
Virtual Safesitter® Class—Safe Sitter® prepares students to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. Students learn life-saving skills such as how to rescue someone who is choking, and helpful information like what to do if there is severe weather. The lessons are filled with fun activities and role-playing exercises. Life and Business Skills are also taught. The students are required to have a doll or stuffed animal to practice skills.
COURSE MATERIALS will be made available to be picked up from the Recreation Department 1 week PRIOR to program start. Supplies provided include: book, bag, diaper, pencil and gloves.

Students will need to complete the entire 6 hour program in order to receive certification.
GIRL SCOUTS will receive a badge if full course is completed. IF interested in setting up a separate class for your troop let us know and we’ll make arrangements!

Classes are held VIRTUALLY. A class link will be sent to registrants prior to program start with specifics.
