Montville Residents Advised To Save Electricity By JCP&L
Due to the extreme temperatures and ongoing electric system repairs​, officials are concerned with ensuring there is electricity for all.

MONTVILLE, NJ — JCP&L is asking customers in Montville Township to save energy on Wednesday between noon and midnight, in an effort to preserve the system capacity, officials announced.
The request is due to the forecasted extreme temperatures and ongoing electric system repairs.
In an advisory message, police suggested that residents select a higher temperature setting on their air conditioning and greater use of fans, if health allows it, in order to "ensure an adequate supply of electricity for all."

Police also suggested eliminating the use of all non-essential appliances such as washers, dryers and dishwashers.
