Montville Senior Signs with Sacred Heart University
Abby Haimson, a senior lacrosse player, 'amassed the 200-goal mark.'
Montville has plenty to be proud of as some of its students are signing letters of intent with colleges for next year.
Abby Haimson, a senior lacrosse player at Montville Township High School signed a National Letter of Intent to play lacrosse at Scared Heart University for fall 2014. Haimson is a four-year varsity starter, and has also been a member of the school's cross county team, said Paul Pignatello, Montville School District Athletic director.
A two-time team captain, Haimson is coming off a junior captain in which she scored 92 goals with 30 assists and she's a two-time First Team All-Conference performer. Last season Haimson was named to the Daily Record All-Area team as well as the All-County Coaches team.

“In her career, Haimson has amassed the 200-goal mark, and has been one of the most prolific scorers in program history. She hopes to break the program's all-time scoring mark this spring,” said Pignatello.
Sacred Heart competes in the Northeast Conference.

Also, Megan Patierno, a senior softball player, recently signed with Hofstra University for fall of 2014.
