Multiple Burglaries In Montville On Labor Day
Multiple cars and a home were broken into, police said.

MONTVILLE, NJ — Multiple cars and one home were burglarized on Labor Day, Montville Township police said. One car was stolen and later recovered in Newark.
On Sept. 4, A Hamilton Place home was burglarized between 11 a.m. and noon. Several items were taken; the homeowner was home but did not see the burglar.
On Taylortown Road and Ward Witty Drive, "several" vehicles were broken into and burglarized. All of the cars were unlocked at the time.

A 2017 Mercedez Benz was stolen from a Jarombek Drive driveway during the early morning hours of the holiday, police said. It was found later that day in Newark.
"We remind all of our residents to lock their homes when they are in the home as well as when they are leaving the home. In addition, residents are encouraged to lock their vehicles (and not leave valuables in vehicles) at all times as well as any garages or storage areas. We also encourage our residents to set their alarms as well as turn on exterior lights during the evening hours," police said.
