New Jersey State Police Car Crack Up Snarls Traffic On Route 80
The Friday morning commute was complicated by a lane closure.
PATERSON, NJ - An early morning crash involving a pair of New Jersey Police cruisers slowed down the Friday morning commute on Route 80 west bound, according to officials.
New Jersey State Police cruisers responding to a report of another accident collided with one another, police said.
NJ511.org reported that the accident took place shortly after 7 a.m. and was east of exit 58, the Madison Avenue exit in Paterson. The accident took out the right lane and stalled motorists, tacking on 15-20 minutes of travel time, officials said.

No injuries were reported and none of the troopers sought medical attention, police said.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
