Totowa Applebee's Offering $1 'ZOMBIE' Drink All Month
It's topped with a gummy brain.

MONTVILLE, NJ — Halloween is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than by consuming an alcoholic beverage inspired by the undead? Applebee’s announced its drink of the month is an electric-blue mixture of rum, pineapple, passion fruit, cherry and lime. The cold drink, dubbed the “DOLLAR ZOMBIE,” is topped with a gummy brain — yes, really — and comes in a 10-ounce mug.
As you might’ve guessed from the title, you can buy it for just a buck. The chain is selling the drinks at many of its 1,883 franchise restaurants throughout the month of October. The restaurant noted the exact timing can vary from state to state due to legalities.
“We guarantee it will be the only time you'll want to run toward a zombie,” Applebee’s said when announcing the drink.

Applebee’s said it crowdsourced the drink of the month for the first time. Guests provided input on everything from the color to the flavors and garnish.
"Halloween is a favorite holiday around here, and we're excited to offer guests the opportunity to celebrate all month long with our new DOLLAR ZOMBIE," said Patrick Kirk, vice president of beverage innovation at the chain. "We invite people to get into the spirit early by trying our Neighborhood Drink with an infectious taste. The only thing to fear this Halloween is missing out on this awesome drink."
You must be at least 21 years old to buy the drink. The advertised price does not include tax or tip.
