2 Morristown Wrestlers Qualify for State Championship Tournament in Atlantic City

Champi, Villegas set to make run at Boardwalk Hall beginning Friday.

In New Jersey, the pinnacle of high school wrestling comes on a mat in the southeast corner of the state. Only few have the opportunity to reach Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, even less have their hands raised at the end of the final weekend of the wrestling season.

But for two Morristown wrestlers, that opportunity has now been earned.

Samuel Champi and Alexis Villegas will represent Parsippany in Atlantic City, emerging in the top three places at their individual weight classes in the Region 3 tournament, according to nj.com.
