Auditions For Morris Educational Foundation Talent Show Open to Morris Township, Morris Plains Residents, Students
Auditions for Morristown ONSTAGE! are scheduled for Dec. 10 at Morristown High School, MEF Executive Director Debbie Sontupe said.

MORRISTOWN, N.J.– The Morris Educational Foundation (MEF) is holding auditions for its 10th annual talent show, Morristown ONSTAGE!
Auditions are scheduled for Dec. 10 at Morristown High School and open to anyone who lives, works, trains or goes to school in Morristown, Morris Township and Morris Plains, said MEF Executive Director Debbie Sontupe.
Morristown High School alumni are also invited to audition, she added.
Those interested must register here by Dec. 1.
According to Sontupe, there is a $20 audition fee.
The March 1, 2017 show will feature talent from Morristown, Morris Plains and Morris Township ad take place at the Mayo Performing Arts Center, Sontupe said.

Four distinguished arts and entertainment professionals will judge the competition, she said.
There will be two, $1,000 cash prize for 1st place contestants – one for those 18 and under and another for those 19 and older, Sontupe said.
A $500 "Audience Choice" award will be voted on that night, according to the executive director.
A $250 Rosoff Rising Star award for talent training – chosen by the Morristown ONSTAGE Steering Committee – will also be given out, she said.
“We are so excited to celebrate 10 years of extraordinary talent in our community and 10 years of Morristown ONSTAGE raising money to fund initiatives supporting the students in the Morris School
District," said Molly Servais, Morristown ONSTAGE event chair and member of the Morris Educational Foundation Board of Trustees.

Over the last 9 years, the organization has raised over $400,000, according to Servais.
Emmy-nominated Senior Producer of Access Hollywood and a Morris School District parent Tara Bernie will once again serve as emcee, Servais said.
“You won’t want to miss this year’s show," she added. "We are planning for some special 10-year surprises to celebrate Morristown ONSTAGE, the biggest community event of the year benefiting the Morris Educational
Foundation.
“The Morris Educational Foundation is a integral part of the Morris School District and this fundraising event will further the Foundation’s ability to distribute financial and other resources to and for the Morris School District for enrichment programs and other projects aimed at enhancing the quality of education and educational opportunities for students in the district,” Servais said.
The MEF raised over $90,000 last year at the event, Sontupe said.
Tickets for the show will go on sale in early 2017 through The Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown.
