CCM Closing Morristown Campus, Board Chair of Morris Township Re-Elected

The Board of Trustees voted to close the Schuyler Place location by Dec. 31, according to a news release.

MORRISTOWN, N.J.– The County College of Morris' Morristown location will be closed by year's end, officials said.

CCM's Board of Trustees voted to close the Schuyler Place campus on Dec. 31, according to a news release from the school.

The space is needed for governmental services, the release states.

The college had used it to offer various programs since January 2012, according to the release.

"CCM remains committed to the Morristown community and they are exploring new locations for ESL and other courses," the trustees said in the release.

According to the school's website, "CCM in Morristown offers a variety of specialized academic credit and

non-credit courses, Department of Labor programs, ESL/GED, and community-based events with an emphasis on business and professional development training and college preparation programs."

Three board members were elected to a second term – Dr. Joseph L. Ricca of Morris Township, chair; Paul R. Licitra of Flanders, vice chair; and Laurie Bogaard, Esq. of Chester, treasurer.

Thomas A. Pepe of Morristown was elected secretary.
