Contested Races Have Launched In Morris Plains

The general election this November is a real contest in Morris Plains.

MORRIS PLAINS, NJ - A quiet primary election season has given way to a contested general election season in Morris Plains as the July 7 election results are complete, according to Morris County Clerk Ann Grossi.

In Morris Plains, Republicans Sal Cortese and Arthur Bruhn won their party's nomination with 558 and 537 votes respectively. They will be facing Democrat Cara Parmigiani who won her party's nomination with 822 votes.

Across Morris County voter turnout was approximately 98,776 out of 369,658 registered voters. Or 26 percent.

The general election is currently scheduled for Nov. 3.
