Extra Shoveling Time For Morris Plains Residents

The 12-hour ordinance has been prolonged following Wednesday's major storm.

MORRIS PLAINS, NJ — Looking for any reason to not shovel today? Morris Plains officials are giving you one: they've suspended the 12 hour shoveling ordinance.

Normally, residents have 12 hours worth of daylight after snow stops falling to clear their sidewalks. The council decided to suspend the ordinance because of how much snow fell on Wednesday. Now, residents have until Saturday to clear their sidewalks.
