Halloween Parade Is Rain Or Shine In Morris Plains

MORRIS PLAINS, NJ — Make sure your costume is waterproof, Morris Plains: this year's Halloween parade will go on, rain or shine.
On Halloween, there's a chance of rain and thunderstorms during the late afternoon and early evening hours, then heavier rain and possibly a thunderstorm are expected to arrive after 8 p.m.
Some of the Halloween storms could produce heavy rainfall, and the chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half-of-an-inch are possible.

Sponsored by the Morris Plains Fire Association and the Morris Plains Recreation Commission, the parade begins at 4 p.m. on Thursday. The route starts at Roberts Garden and ends at Simons Park, where light refreshments will be served.
Drivers in the area should be cautious, as there will be road closures and heavy pedestrian traffic, police said.
