Honeywell Hearings Begin, a Summer Concert on Tap
Here's a look at what's happening this week and what you can expect to see on Patch.

First Honeywell Hearing on Zoning Ordinance Wednesday
The first of three hearings about the zoning ordinance to allow Honeywell to redevelop its corporate campus will be on Wedneday. The ordinance, which was on July 18, calls for the development of 235 townhomes and office and lab space. Some residents fear the new development plans on the company's 147-acre property will pose many problems such as an increase in traffic and hazards to the enivronment.
Morris Township committee member Daniel Caffrey is performing at this week's concert with one of New Jersey's top country bands, Due South. He'll join the band by playing his guitar on Tuesday at Ginty Park. This is Caffrey's first performance in the summer concert series, and he was approached by the band to play.
Borough Buildings and Roads to be Improved
The Morris Plains Borough Council introduced an ordinance at their latest meeting to improve some of the borough's buildings and roadways for $35,000. Some of the work will go into the , and the DPW building. We'll go more into depth this week about sidewalks and roads that will be improved on as well.

Peach Party and Arts and Crafts at Farmers Market
At this week's Morris Plains Farmers Market, there will be a Peach Party and a children's arts and crafts show, in addition to all the regular vendors selling their fresh foods. Patch will have a story this week on what you can expect to see at the event on Aug. 4.
Owners of Morris Plains Dunkin' Donuts Reflect on New Business
We talk to the owners of the new Dunkin' Donuts that about the new location and their plans to expand around North Jersey. The store, located on Route 10 East, is only the second location in the country to contain a conference room.
