
No one knew Morristown like Lorraine Abell.
It’s the kind of knowledge and history one gains after living in the same town for more than eight decades.
Abell succumbed to congestive heart failure on Sunday, March 15 at the age of 86, according to her obituary.

Abell was a successful businesswoman who sold Native American jewelry made from scratch. Her works can be found in antique centers and boutiques from Arizona to New Jersey.
At the age of 86, Abell was still driving, working, and dancing in Irene Phelan’s exercise class.

She is survived by two children, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 20 at 10 a.m. at Church of the Assumption in Morristown. Visitation will be held at Doyle Funeral Home at 106 Maple Avenue in Morristown on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
