Mobile Social Service Center To Bring Stigma-Free Help To County
Two vehicles are set to bring social services to residents across Morris County in a campaign ending March 30, 2020.
MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — This February and March, Morris County is setting out on a mission to meet the needs of county residents with social-services-centers on wheels.
Morris County Sheriff's Hope One van, which caters to social services and addictions assistance, will crisscross the county in the next two months in conjunction with county's Navigating Hope vehicle to make 26 stops at 13 sites.
The Navigating Hope vehicle meets with residents to offer eligibility screenings, application assistance and connection to other community services including EITC (tax credits), WIC (nutritional assistance), domestic violence services, veterans services, health and wellness services, legal services, mental health and transportation.

According to a press release from the county, the vehicles will be making stops at supermarkets, libraries, churches, soup kitchens, shopping malls and other locations to reach residents in need of assistance in Randolph, Dover, Rockaway, Towaco and Morristown.
"We are reaching out to residents in all areas of Morris County with Navigating Hope and Hope One to provide Stigma-Free assistance, counseling, and treatment for county residents in need," Morris County Freeholder Kathy DeFillippo, liaison to the county’s Human Services agencies, said in a statement. "These are residents who may not be able to travel to county offices or who have fallen through the cracks of the system."
