Morris County Cop Charged With Theft: Prosecutor

Morris Plains officer Adam J. Klymko faces a third degree charge, authorities said.

MORRIS PLAINS, NJ - A 30-year-old Morris Plains Police Officer faces theft charges according to the Morris County Prosecutor's Office.

Adam J. Klymko was charged on Wednesday with one count of theft by unlawful taking or disposition, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:20-3a, a crime of the third degree, officials said.

Klymko is employed as a police officer with the Morris Plains Police Department. The charge is not related to his performance of duties as a police officer according to Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp, Acting Chief of Investigations Christoph K. Kimker, and Morris Plains Police Chief Michael M. Koroski.
