Parks across Morris County will be closed during the hunt.

MORRIS COUNTY, N.J.– The Morris County Park Commission is conducting a controlled deer hunt in parks across Morris County through February 2017, officials said.

These controlled hunts are specifically used as a population management tool, according to Morris County Communications and Digital Media Manager Larry Ragonese.

Bow hunting is scheduled in additional parks between November and February, but those parks will remain open to the public, according to Ragonese.
