MORRIS PLAINS, NJ — The polls are closed in Morris Township and Morris Plains, and results are in for the local committees, and the school boards.

Three candidates are running for three seats on the Board of Education. All three are incumbents:

Because this election is uncontested, Patch is projecting winners as soon as the polls close at 8 p.m.

Morris Township Results

Four candidates are running for two seats on the Morris School District Board of Education:

  • Peter E. Gallerstein 1,677
  • Melissa Spiotta 2,717
  • Susan M. Pedalino 2,337
  • Chris Crean 1,489

Two candidates are vying for one seat on the Township Committee:

  • Democrat William "Bud" Ravitz 2,938
  • Republican Peter V. Mancuso 2,890

All districts are reporting, but this race remains too close to project a winner.
