Morris View Healthcare Center Salutes 14 Resident Military Veterans

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, N.J.– Morris View Health Care Center will be awarding military service medals to 14 resident veterans on Thursday.

A special medal will be awarded to the family of the recently deceased Alfonso W. Pescatore, according to Morris County Communications and Social Media Manager Larry Ragonese.

The other honorees, who will receive Morris County Distinguished Military Service Medals:

• Clarice Bobbin, U.S. Navy, World War II;
• Ed Burdette, U.S. Navy, World War II;
• Richard Burke, U.S. Army, Post Korea;
• Warren P. Bush, U.S. Navy, World War II;
• “Gerry’’ Corby, U.S. Air Force, Post Korea;
• Joan Ruth Duda, U.S. Navy, Korean Era;
• Johnny Harrigan, U.S. Army, Vietnam War;
• Kevin Mulholland, U.S. Navy, Post-Vietnam;
• Albert Onori, U.S. Air Force, Korean War Era;
• Carl Russell, U.S. Navy, Post Vietnam Era;
• Joseph Sala, U.S. Navy, World War II;
• Christopher Street, U.S. Army, World War II;
• George Szabo, U.S. Army, Vietnam War Era

The ceremony is slated for 2-3 p.m. at the Morris View Healthcare Centre Atrium.

The center is located at 540 W. Hanover Ave., across from the Sept. 11 memorial and Public Safety Academy.
