'One Community, One Book' Selection Announced for Festival of Books in Morris County

Laura Schenone's memoir from Hoboken to be featured read.

Following its tremendous success in 2014, the Morristown Festival of Books is back, and adding a new component to involve as many community members as possible.

The organizing committee has created a ‘One Community, One Book’ component that encourages readers in the region to read the same book prior to the festival, slated for the first weekend in October.

Announced in mid-April, The Lost Ravioli Recipes of Hoboken by Laura Schenone has been chosen by the Festival committee.

Schenone’s memoir chronicles her five-year quest to find a long-lost family recipe and how she reconnected with family and loved ones along the way.

Last year’s event featured 21 authors; the organizing committee said it expects more than 25 authors to participate in 2015, in addition to a keynote speaker not yet named.

The two-day event will be held Friday and Saturday, Oct. 2 and 3, with a keynote address at the Mayo Performing Arts Center. That event will be the only paid admission program for the weekend.
