Outdoor Summer Concerts Heat Up Local Stages
Annual summer concert series in the township and borough have taken off, with a few more dates remaining.

Summer is officially here, and that means it's time for some live music to enjoy outdoors.
The annual summer concert series in Morris Township and Morris Plains began last month, but there are still many nights to look forward to.
Here is the schedule for the remaining township concerts, held at Tuesdays at 7 p.m.

July 17: The Silver Starlight Orchestra & Starlighters Vocal Group
July 24: Sweeter Than Honey

July 30: Due South
Aug. 7: Paul Garguilo Band
All shows are free, and are sponsored by Provident Bank and the township Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee.
Morris Plains' concerts are held at on Sundays from 6 to 8 p.m. Here is the schedule of the remaining bands:
July 15: Skip Yingling & The Wright Experiment, which will perform classic and contemporary music.
July 22: Bill Griese, a local singer/songwriter who plays an eclectic mix of modern and classic cover songs and original compositions.
July 29: Dicey Riley, who plays traditional Irish music covering jigs, reels, hornpipes, ballads and folksongs.
