Morris Township Home Catches Fire, No One Hurt: Officials
The cause of the fire by Madison Avenue remains under investigation.
MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ — A home caught fire Friday morning near Madison Avenue in Morris Township. Everyone exited the Allen Drive home before officials arrived, and firefighters extinguished the blaze, according to police.
Authorities responded at 9:33 a.m. to the fire on a side street off Madison Avenue. The fire originated in the basement, according to police.
The cause remains under investigation. Officials closed off part of Madison Avenue Friday morning but have since reopened the road.
