Say Hello To Fall With Beer And Sausages In Morris

Enjoy bratwursts and pretzels during for a good cause PBA #133's Oktoberfest.

Beer may not have been the focal point of the original Bavarian celebration in October--history books say the modern-day Oktoberfest began as a more sedate wedding celebration--but it is certainly what we think of today when October rolls around. According to History.com, more than one million gallons of beer are consumed annually at Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany.

If you can't get over to Europe anytime soon, there's plenty of beer--and sausages, pretzels, and other festivities--right here in Morris County. Enjoy beer and good food for a good cause during the Policemen's Benevolent Association #133's Oktoberfest, to be held on Saturday, October 8 in Morris Plains. The fest will feature German music, starring Breitenbach, German eats, including brats and Bavarian Pretzels, and a raffle. Proceeds from the event will benefit the PBA and Community Hope, a leading nonprofit that saves veterans from homelessness.

The PBA #133 Oktoberfest happens at the Morris Plains VFW, at 45 Tabor Road, from 12 PM to 6 PM on Saturday, October 8. For more information, visit https://www.facebook.com/PBA13... or contact organizers at (201) 704-9452.
