Car Overturns In Morris Plains, Driver Possibly Impaired: Police

Officials extricated the driver from the vehicle, but his injuries weren't life-threatening.

MORRIS PLAINS, NJ — A man was hospitalized after his car rolled over Tuesday night in Morris Plains. His injuries weren't life-threatening, but he may have been impaired due to drugs or alcohol, according to Morris Plains police.

The accident occurred just before 9 p.m. around Granniss Avenue near Mayfair Road. A photo from the Morris Plains Fire Department shows the vehicle with extensive damage, including a shattered windshield and a detached hood.

Authorities didn't publicly identify the driver. No passengers were in the vehicle.

The Morris Plains Fire Department and Morris Minute Men Ambulance Squad extracted the driver from the vehicle. Officials took him to Morristown Medical Center.

The investigation is ongoing.
