Vietnam Vet, Notable Morristown Republican Dies at 67
Edward Ramirez served two tours of duty as member of the Army.

Edward Ramirez was a patriot through and through.
The Morristown resident died unexpectedly at the age of 67 last week, according to his obituary.
Ramirez, born in Los Angeles, served two tours of duty in Vietnam between 1966 and 1968 as a member of the United States Army. He was honored in 2010 by the Memorial Day and Veterans Day Association of Morristown and Morris Township.

Ramirez retired from AT&T and worked for the County of Morris, the New Jersey Schools Development Authority and the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission until the time of his passing.
Ramirez served as the Morristown Republican Committeeman for his district and thoroughly enjoyed his politics. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Morristown and served as the commissioner for the Morristown Housing Authority.

Ramirez is survived by his wife, Christina, of 29 years; a son, daughter, and step-daughter; and two granddaughters.
