Interfaith Food Pantry has partnered with the supermarket to help stock their shelves.

MORRIS PLAINS, NJ — Wegmans Food market donated over 8,700 pounds of food to the Morris Plains basted Interfaith Food Pantry last week to commemorate the opening of the store's first Morris County location.

A second donation will be send in September, bringing the total to a full truck-load of donated food.

Since announcing their Morris County location two years ago, Wegmans has partnered with the Interfaith Food Pantry. They have sponsored several events including the IFP’s Annual Spring Gala and Golf Outing, as well as several volunteer-led events, including the IFP’s “Kitchen to Table” program. According to the IFP, The Kitchen to Table program is aimed at providing nutritious easy-to- prepare meals to elderly and disabled clients served by the IFP’s home delivery program. The Wegmans Hanover leadership team has cooked more than 200 meals on-site at the IFP since they began in February.
