'1 And Done': Johnson & Johnson Pop-Up Site Coming To Morristown
The pop-up site, for Morristown adult residents, will operate June 16.
MORRISTOWN, NJ — Just one shot, and then you're done. Morristown and Atlantic Health System will partner to develop a pop-up site for administering Johnson & Johnson's COVID-19 vaccine.
The clinic is open for Morristown residents 18 and older. The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Town Hall parking lot. Walk-ups are welcome, but preregistration at 973-292-6626 can save time.
As the New Jersey Department of Health shifts its focus from megasites to community vaccination efforts, the state's "Grateful for the Shot" initiative will hit Bethel AME Church. The church will become the site for a Pfizer vaccine clinic from 2-5 p.m. Saturday.

All adults are eligible for the Johnson & Johnson and Moderna vaccines, while Pfizer's shots have been approved for people 12 and older. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine requires only one shot, while the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines require two each.

Here's where Morristown stands with COVID-19 vaccinations as of Friday morning, according to the state health department:
- Population fully vaccinated: 51 percent of all ages, 60 percent of adults (18 and older) and 89 percent of seniors (65 and older).
- Population with at least one dose: 65 percent of all ages, 73 percent of adults and 99 percent of seniors.
New Jersey set a goal for 70 percent of adults to become fully vaccinated by the end of June. President Joe Biden set the same national benchmark for July 4.
