Nor'easter winds continued to impact New Jersey on Thursday, causing power outages, downing trees and power lines and creating traffic problems. Power companies said more than 12,000 of the state's customers lost power at one point during the mid-morning hours (see towns with power outages below).

The nor'easter – now labeled a "bomb cyclone" – impacted New Jersey on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning, bringing 30- to 50-mph winds and heavy rains to the region as commuters struggled to get to work.

Damage was reported in communities across the state on Thursday, including flooding. Wind advisories were in effect until around 6 p.m.
